Yong Lu is a consultant radiologist at the Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai, and a professor of Radiology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China, with particular interests in artificial intelligence (AI), musculoskeletal imaging and neuroimaging.
He obtained his medical doctorate degree in Shanghai, and then he went to the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California for radiology training, and the German Federal Ministry of Health for advanced management training, both as a visiting scholar. He has rich experience in imaging diagnosis and medical management, serving not only as the staff radiologist but also as the Director of Medical Section of Ruijin Hospital, and the Director of Personnel Section of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine for years.
Prof. Lu has served in many posts within the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and National Radiology Society, including the Musculoskeletal Imaging Group of Medical Imaging Branch, and the Medical Health Management and Medical Insurance Committee. He is also the Member of the Expert Committee of the National Venous Thromboembolism Prevention and Treatment Program and Vice Deputy head of sarcoma Imaging Group, Chinese Anticancer Association. He has published more than 80 papers as the first and corresponding author on AI application, MSK diagnostic imaging, cartilage repairment, molecular mechanism of osteoporosis, and neuroimaging, including more than 20 SCI papers, with a cumulative IF over 120. He also served as Executive Committee member of AMS, and the reviewer of Radiology, Sci Adv, Advanced Science, Radiology, JMRI and MRM.
