Tamotsu Kamishima, M.D., Ph.D., an MSK radiologist Certified by the Japanese Board of Radiology, is a Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Hokkaido University, Japan. He has published 105 peer-reviewed articles and more than 100 (more than 20 for international) lectures at major congresses.
He is immediate past President of the Asian Musculoskeletal Radiology and current President of the Japanese Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology. He has served on numerous expert advisory panels, including Deputy Editor, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (JMRI) and the drafting committee for the Japan Radiological Society/Japanese College of Radiology Imaging Guideline.
He has been a principal investigator or co-principal investigator receiving grants from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), Japan and grants-in-aid for scientific research, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan.
He has also consulted for professional baseball/soccer teams in Hokkaido, Japan and for the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo.
