RSNA Honours Our President
Our AMS President, Dr Steven Bak-Siew Wong, was awarded the RSNA 2024 Honorary Member at its Annual Meeting last week. This prestigious recognition is a testament to his exceptional contributions to the field of radiology and his unwavering dedication to advancing our discipline.
"I am immensely humbled and honoured to receive the RSNA Honorary Member Award," said Steven. "It reflects the progress of Radiology in Asia, in particular Musculoskeletal Radiology and the work of the Asian Musculoskeletal Society.
As Radiology now faces a future with increasing AI assimilation and utilisation mixed with ongoing manpower shortage and potential for skills and knowledge degradation I hope that this Award will serve to remind us that we are all Radiologists first and foremost and that our Radiology craft is of utmost value and significance to healthcare, now and in the future.
AMS must ensure that the next generation of Asian MSR leaders are identified and entrusted with continuing the work of bringing all MSRers in Asia together.
